WHAT IS A STREET TEAM?

A street team is a special group of readers who love an author and are excited about spreading the word about the author’s books to others! There are millions of books on Amazon with more being added every day. This can make it more difficult for readers to find authors who write the types of books they love. Meanwhile, authors are hoping to be connected with readers who would love their work.

An effective street team can bridge the gap. How? When readers like you spread the word about the books you love, you help authors and readers find each other!

WHAT EXACTLY DOES A STREET TEAM DO?

When we need to get the word out about a special event or campaign, we will reach out to our street team members with the details of the event. We’ll also provide images and graphics for you to use, but you are welcome to create extra graphics if you’d like. As a member of the street team, you would then share about the event to your social media accounts and your blog, if you have one. The event could be for a new release, a sale, an in-person event, etc. You would keep record of your posts and send in the information. This way, we can track engagement with your posts, and we can also make note of your participation in the event. Every street team member who participates in events or special campaigns receives a ‘thank you’ gift from Angela for supporting her work as an author. It might be something like a gift card, a paperback book, or book related swag.
